Having produced a quote for you we will require the first deposit to secure the order. Once we have this we produce technical drawings produced based on your plans. These are the drawings we require to manufacture your frame. Changes and alterations can be made at this stage to the design.
Like any build – probably yes depending upon the size of the build. You will need to speak with the planning dept or a local architect to help you with this.
Sole Plates, Prefabricated Panels, Sheathing (where req’d), Floor Joists, Decking, Roof Trusses, Timbers (if req’d) and Structural Calculations.
Yes, the timber frame requires the same footings as a block/brick build.
Yes, our kits come with plans and all the components are coded for easy assembly. We are also available during normal office hours for any technical queries.
Yes and we will supply the calculations for the timber frame as part of the package along with any other info they require regarding the structure.
The timber is cut and numbered in our workshop. Some cutting maybe required on site but we try to keep this minimal. Sometimes it may be necessary to cut the rafters on site to match existing (extensions).
Yes, that’s not a problem. We can work off your current plans and convert it to timber frame.
Yes, as mentioned above you will receive Pre fabricated panels.
You can have cladding (wood, UPVc or composite), Render or brick/stone skin. Pretty much anything you like!
