Yorkshire Timber Engineering have been manufacturing trussed rafters for more than 8 years. Engineered trussed rafters still offer the most cost effective and flexible design solution to simple and complex pitched roof constructions.
Our roof trusses are a highly engineered product constructed from kiln dried, planed all round timbers and engineered steel nail plates which act as a sturdy support system for the roof coverings, snow loads, ceiling finishes, storage, water tanks and other requirements. Considered the most cost-effective solution for the majority of roofs in the UK, roof trusses use 40% less timber than other methods and they ensure lower labour costs as pre-fabricated components are utilised.

Our team will formulate a practical design solution based on the supplied architectural outlines and details. This can be undertaken as a single commissioned solution or in collaboration with the primary design team.
Our design and production process is fully integrated. This generates the necessary geometric profiles, the appropriate timber grade and section, and type and size of connector plate. A semi- automated manufacturing process establishes the truss profile by positioning within a range of jigs and press types, which are selected to reflect the complexity and size of the truss. Where required, timber can also be preservative treated.

All Yorkshire Timber Engineered Solutions trussed rafter packages and associated products are delivered to site at a pre-arranged date. Deliveries will require some form of mechanical off-loading and we can provide guidance on load weights and dimensions where required.
